Public Defender Jailed For Bringing Pot Into Angola

A public defender visiting his jailed client has found himself also behind bars after police found pot on him.

Deputies in West Feliciana Parish say Nelville Hollingsworth was scheduled to visit his client, but when guards searched him at the front gate, they found just over five grams of the illegal drug in the lining of his sports coat.

Hollingsworth's client is accused of killing a prison guard during a failed escape attempt in 1999.
