R.I.P. ‘Miss Susie,’ The World’s Oldest Person [Video]
Last fall, I told you about the world's oldest person, Susannah Mushatt Jones. Her friends called her "Miss Susie."
She celebrated her 116th birthday July 6th of last year. Miss Susie was the last living American born before the turn of the 20th century.
She proudly told interviewers her daily breakfast was bacon and eggs.
ABC News reports Miss Susie has left us. She'd reportedly been ill for about a week and a half. Miss Susie passed away on Thursday, May 12th, 2016.
Over the course of my long career, I've met & interviewed some interesting people. I wish I'd had the chance to interview Miss Susie. Can you imagine the stories she could tell?
Rest in peace, Miss Susie.
These folks are the oldest people to ever have lived...
