Recycle Gallon Jugs To Make Ice– Easy DIY To Save Money
Our family doesn't ever buy ice when we pack an ice chest. My husband has found a DIY-way to recycle gallon jugs to make ice that lasts longer than any we can find in bags.
Not only do we buy milk by the gallon, I also drink tea that comes in gallon jugs. Once we've finished them off, we simply fill them with water and stick them in our outside freezer.
As you can see in the video, my husband hits it, and it breaks the ice and the outside of the plastic jug. Much of the ice comes out in large chunks, which stay frozen longer than smaller cubes that come in the bags you buy at a store.
If you've got extra freezer space, it's a great way to recycle and save money!
