There will be no changes to garbage and recycling services on Good Friday, and there will be some extra garbage colleciton coming up next week.

Both Republic Services and the Recycling Foundation say there will be no changes in their regular services for Good Friday, March 25, 2016.

Republic Services says they will be having an entire week, next week, of extra trash collection.

If you live in Lafayette Parish and are serviced by Republic  Services, all residential customers will have excess bagged garbage collection from Monday, March 28 through Friday, April 1.

All you need to do to get rid of any excess garbage is to bag it and place it on the ground three feet away from your automated garbage cart.

Lafayette City-Parish officials say the Compost Facility at 400 Dugas Road will be closed this Good Friday, but it will reopen on Monday, March 28.
