Road And Bridge Closures For This Week And Monday
Here's a look at three closures happening this week and Monday.
Tony Tramel, Director of the Traffic and Transportation Department, announced the northbound outside lane on Johnston Street will be closed at Jefferson Street on Tuesday 2-22-11. This lane will be closed intermittently from 9 am to 4 pm each day through Friday 2-25-11. However this lane and the southbound outside lane on Johnston Street will not be closed at the same time. A flagging operation will also be in effect on Jefferson Street at Johnston where a lane will be shifted.
The Department of Transportation and Development would like to provide an update on the work being performed on the LA 92 Bridge in Milton in Lafayette Parish. While making the repairs to the bridge, additional damage was found that warranted immediate action. The bridge will re-open to vehicular traffic on Friday, February 25, 2011, for approximately 45 to 60 days, then the bridge will close again to vehicular traffic for approximately 10 weeks. The DOTD regrets this inconvenience. Detour routes will be posted.
La 757, approximately ½ mile north of US 190 in Eunice, St. Landry Parish will be closed for railroad repair beginning 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p. m. on Monday, February 28, 2011. DOTD appreciates your patience.
