Lafayette Mayor-President Joel Robideaux released a 112-page report from LCG attorneys who researched whether an LCG employee’s federally-funded loan to his personal business was a conflict of interest.

Marcus Bruno -- an aide hired by Robideaux in 2016 -- and his wife own and operate the small business “LA Consultants LLC.”

In 2016, Bruno’s company received a $35 thousand dollar loan through the Lafayette Neighborhood Economic Development Corporation, which receives money from the federal Housing and Urban Development Office.

LCG attorneys stated in the report that Bruno did not violate any laws in obtaining the small business loan.
