The New Orleans Saints needed more depth at tight end for training camp as rookie Alize Mack and veteran Garrett Griffin have missed practice this week due to injury.

Today, they added veteran A.J. Derby, who has spent time with the New England Patriots, Denver Broncos, and most recently the Miami Dolphins.

The addition of Derby, and along with the corresponding release, was reported by Herbie Teope of The New Orleans Advocate.

Offensive tackle Nate Wozniak, who spent his rookie season on the Saints practice squad last year, was let go to make room on the roster for Derby.
