Schools In Acadiana Set To Re-Open [UPDATED]
(KPEL) -- Now that Hurricane Isaac has moved through the area, schools throughout Acadiana are assessing damage and determining when to resume classes. The following schools have announced they will re-open:
- Acadia Parish Public Schools will resume Friday.
- Evangeline Parish Public Schools will resume Friday.
- Iberia Parish Public Schools will resume Friday.
- Jefferson Davis Parish Public Schools will resume Friday.
- Lafayette Parish Public Schools will resume Friday.
- Lafayette Christian Academy will resume Friday.
- St. Martin Parish Public Schools will resume Friday.
- All St. Mary Parish schools that have electrical power will be open for classes on Friday. District maintenance crews and school administrators are currently assessing all school sites for power and water issues.
- All St. Landry Parish Public Schools will resume Friday, except Arnaudville Elementary and Sunset Elementary.
- University of Louisiana at Lafayette will resume Friday. Edith Garland Dupre Library is open today until 5 p.m. Bourgeois Hall will re-open today from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Vermilion Parish Public Schools will resume Friday.
- Westminster Christian Academy will resume Friday.
