Café du Monde and Shake Shack will be two of the more notable tenants setting up shop inside the forthcoming new terminal at the Louis Armstrong International Airport.

The new terminal is expected to be completed in February 2019.

The airport says its goal is "to develop an award-winning concessions program that celebrates New Orleans and appeals to both local and visiting passengers."

They will definitely achieve that with Café du Monde. Shake Shack, on the other hand, will mark its first location in Louisiana.

Other businesses coming to the new $1 billion terminal include Brother's, Chick-fil-A, City Greens, CNBC, Dylan's Candy Bar, Leah's Kitchen, Lolli & Pops, NOLA Couture, Starbucks, Where Traveler and Ye Olde College.

Construction on the new terminal began in 2016. Some of the highlights passengers can expect include a 17-lane consolidated security checkpoint which will make it easier to get screened and an in-line baggage system where fliers can drop off checked baggage at the ticket counters.
