Sheriff: Mother, 26, Kills 5-Year-Old Daughter, Then Self
THIBODAUX, La. (AP) — The Lafourche Parish sheriff says a 26-year-old Thibodaux woman apparently killed her 5-year-old daughter, then herself.
Sheriff Craig Webre identifies them as Nakesha Carrere and her daughter, Abigail Creamer.
He says in a news release that the child's father found their bodies when he arrived at the home shortly before noon Sunday.
Webre says detectives found a detailed letter which they believe Carerre had written, and are confident that the deaths were a murder-suicide.
