Winter is a bit of a foreign idea here in Shreveport-Bossier. It snows, roughly, once every 3 years. Most of the time, it barely gets colder than hoodie weather. However, 2020-2021 is turning into a different animal. Not only has it been at or below freezing a lot this year, but we got snow that actually laid and it's looking like we could see even more.

Last week, the forecast was projecting snow starting this Thursday. However, as of today, he forecast has changed again. We will see some rain this week, but temps won't be likely be cold enough for snow (highs are expected to be in the 50s). However, after the Thursday storm, father winter will be coming back full force for the weekend and next week.

According to Weather.com, temps will drop drastically: highs are expected to be in the mid 30s, lows will be down in the teens. And that's where things get interesting. The updated forecast is projecting possible snow fall 4 days in a row (Monday February 15th-Thursday February 18th).

Although, unlike the last snow storm, this isn't like to be pretty snow. The forecast is projecting a mix of snow, sleet, ice and rain. So, if you moved here from Montana and have been missing the weather, you're in luck. For the rest of us, break out the long johns and invest in an ice scrapper because we're going to need it.
