Simcoe Street Shooting in Lafayette Leaves Juvenile in Critical Condition

A juvenile male victim is in critical condition suffering from a gunshot wound earlier Halloween afternoon.

Lafayette Police spokesman Sgt. Wayne Griffin says officers responded to the 900 block of W. Simcoe Street around 3:45 p.m. after the victim was transported to the hospital. The victim’s age is unknown.

Officers are trying to learn exactly what happened.
