Splash Kingdom went to the dogs on Sunday. The local water park held their annual Bark in the Park event to give pups and their humans a chance to cool off and enjoy all the water features at the complex.

With temperatures at 100 degrees, this was a welcome day for dozens of dogs and people who got a chance to cool off and enjoy all of the pools at the park. You could see dogs swimming in the wave pool. There were also pups floating on top of owners in the lazy river.

Several local dog rescue groups were at the event to get information out to the community.

My grand puppy, Beau (the black and white pooch on the side of the pool) had a great day at the event and was so worn out, he'll probably sleep most of Monday away.

It was quite a special day for pups and their owners at the local water park.
