According to KATC, Spoonbill Watering Hole and Restaurant, the gas station turned restaurant downtown on Jefferson Street, has been nominated for a 2020 James Beard Foundation Award for its design. It was nominated for the Outstanding Restaurant Design Awards in the 75 Seats and Under category. This is very exciting and well deserved. The design and all the work they did to this old gas station is amazing. It’s very creative and has a ton of character.
