Spring may finally have sprung, if the forecast holds true!

KATC Chief Meteorologist Rob Perillo is forecasting that Acadiana's weekend should be mostly cloudy, breezy and mild with showers and storms a good bet by Sunday evening as a cold front approaches.

Rob is calling for cloudy skies on Saturday with temperatures in the low to mid-70s. On Sunday, Rob is predicting that skies will stay mostly cloudy, but he says a few intervals of sun could easily push afternoon highs into the mid-upper 70s.

By Sunday afternoon, a front approaches and the risk of showers and storms will increase by late in the afternoon with highest probability of rain and storms in the evening and nighttime hours. Rob reports at KATC.com there could be a few robust/strong storms in the area but any risk of severe weather should be limited to portions of Central and Northeastern Louisiana.

The rain and the front should move out by Monday afternoon, leaving behind fair to partly cloudy skies for the rest of the week and next weekend. Temperatures will dip a bit through the early week into the low 60s, but then temperatures rebound later in the week with highs in the 70s.
