State regulators say they want Governor Bobby Jindal to ask the President to resurrect a federal grant to fund expanding broadband Internet to poor and rural parts of the state. US Commerce Department officials says the money will be returned to the federal treasury. Public Service Commission member Foster Campbell says it's the state's fault $80,000,000 in federal stimulus funds were lost. Campbell says the grant would help over 100,000 people.

Kyle Plotkin with the Jindal administration says the Governor does not plan on calling the President.
