State Retirees To Pay More
The Louisiana House has delayed debate on a Jindal administration proposal to raise retirement costs for state employees by 3-percent. The measure would lower employees' take-home pay and give the state an extra 25-million dollars a year. The bill's sponsor Representative Kirk Talbot, delayed a House debate planned for today because he says there was a question over whether this constitutes a new payroll tax.
