Summer Ellyson Has Done It Again

Louisiana Ragin' Cajun softball pitcher and Teurlings alum Summer Ellyson leads the nation in victories (33), earning 4 more last week.

For her efforts, Ellyson has been named the Community Coffee Sun Belt Conference Pitcher of the week....again.

It's the 4th consecutive week she's received the honor, and 7th time this season.

Ellyson (33-4, 1.01 ERA) only gave up two runs and nine hits over 22-1/3 innings pitched and struck out 29 batters in victories over Louisiana Tech and Coastal Carolina.

Ellyson ranks in the Top 10 nationally in every major pitching category, and is tops in the Sun Belt.
