For those who were demanding action after Sunday's Wright State-Louisiana baseball game that resulted in the ejection and subsequent two game suspension of Cajuns' head coach Tony Robichaux, action has been taken.

The Sun Belt announced today all four umpires have been suspended for one game each for what was termed "multiple officiating errors."

The brief announcement from Sun Belt Commissioner Karl Benson read as follows

The baseball umpire crew from the Wright State versus Louisiana series will be relieved of all duties for one game due to the multiple officiating errors that occurred on Sunday, February 25.  The decision was made by Sun Belt Conference Commissioner Karl Benson on Wednesday.

In the game, a ball hit by Cajuns' outfielder Daniel Lahare was initially ruled a home run but was later overturned after a meeting of the umpires.  Robichaux's subsequent reaction resulted in his ejection and suspension.

In addition, a Wright State runner was called out at the plate earlier in the game.  Replays clearly showed the wrong call was made.  A ball hit by Louisiana's Kole McKinnon in the ninth inning was ruled a home run although it hit off the wall (umpires did not confer after that call) and a call at first base on the final play of the game on a ball hit by Hayden Cantrelle was also in question.

Robichaux will miss tonight's game against Nicholls State and Friday's game in Houston against Mississippi State.
