A parent was arrested after an altercation with a student on the campus of Opelousas High School.

An Opelousas woman has been arrested after allegedly threatening to hit an administrator at Opelousas High School.

The teacher is said to have approached the student about taking off the sweatshirt because it's not allowed on campus.

Charges were dropped against two of the students with the judge saying those two had tried to break up the fight between students.

Sgt. Jody White says he doesn't know what started the fight at Opelousas High School this morning.
