DALLAS, Texas (KPEL News) - The pay at Buc-ee's is pretty famous for being higher than you would expect for a rest stop. However, it seems to always be making headlines.

And, according to a new report, those pay levels are among the highest entry-level jobs in the country.

There is always commentary online about how much Buc-ee's workers get paid. The wages are amazing for someone just starting out, and there are even some folks who realize that their own job pays the same as someone who works at the famed rest stop.

There was a social worker, for example, who discovered her office job paid as much as a bathroom janitor at Buc-ee's, a fact that shocked her - not because they get paid so much, but because she feels underpaid.

Business Insider recently analyzed the starting pay at various companies and, it should surprise no one, Buc-ee's was near the top.

Employees get a minimum starting wage of $18.18 an hour, according to a recent analysis. That's more than $10 over thee minimum wage, both in Texas and federally (which is $7.25 an hour).

Buc-ee's also offers paid time off and 401K matching, according to Business Report.

The apparel brand Patagonia has a starting wage of $21.88 an hour, Business Insider reports, which is almost three times the federal minimum wage. REI, a popular outdoor brand, came in at No. 2 with a starting wage of $18.88 an hour

Costco came in at No. 3 with an $18.57-an-hour starting wage. IKEA came in at No. 4, with a starting wage of $18.50 an hour.

But speaking of money at Buc-ee's...

Texas Customer Shocks Internet With Nearly $750 Buc-ee's Receipt - What Did They Buy?!

Buc-ee's isn't a cheap stop. It's not that they're overpriced, either. You just get overwhelmed walking in and you end up with a ton of things you may not need, but you definitely don't want to put back.

Like Beaver Nuggets, for example. Do you really need them? Absolutely not. Do you want them? More than anything. Should you pour them into a bowl, add milk, and eat it like cereal? Yes, and if you haven't tried it before, we can't recommend it enough.

But while it's easy to suddenly find yourself spending $75 or more, it seems like you'd have to try really hard to spend ten times that. But that is what one Texas customer did.

Ever Spent $750 at Buc-ee's?

We kid you not, a Texas customer on Facebook not only spent just under $750 at Buc-ee's, but she shared her receipt on Facebook as proof.

The customer posted in the Facebook Group "BUC-EES LOVERS ❤️" a snippet of her receipt, which showed that, after tax, they had managed to spend $745.47 at the Texas-based travel center.

"That s*** just happens when u grab ahold of one of them cute Bucee buggys[sic]," one person wrote in the Facebook group.

The customer was asked to show the whole receipt, which they did. Among the items they bought were:

• 4 brisket sandwiches
• A Buc-ee's seatbelt cover
• 3 doggie hoodies
• 2 packages of beef jerky
• A Buc-ee's cornhole board

There was a lot more, on there, but those items alone were around one-third of the total cost.

There were some negative comments on the page, but the original poster had a lot of supporters, too.
