Texas Powerball Winner – Texas Lottery Confirms Big-Money Payout
Saturday's Powerball Lottery drawing produced some big money winners across the nation and in the Lone Star State. The Texas Lottery has confirmed at least one of the big paydays generated by Saturday's drawing will be going to an address in the state of Texas.
Saturday's Powerball offered an estimated annuitized jackpot of $200,300,000. The lump sum payout on a win at that amount would be about $93,300,000. So there was a lot of money on the line when the ping pong balls came tumbling out Saturday night around 10 o'clock.
The numbers that were drawn for May 5, 2024, were:
14 20 23 53 69 Powerball 04 Power Play x2
When you check your tickets you'll want to verify those numbers at the Official Powerball website or the Official Texas Lottery website. Based on what we have learned from Powerball there was no jackpot winner for Saturday's game. That means the top prize of $200.3 million will increase to an estimated $214 million when they draw in the game tonight.
The Texas Lottery did confirm a big win on Saturday night. Our sources tell us that a single ticket sold in Texas matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball. This makes that ticket worth $50,000. Had the ticket purchaser opted for the Power Play their haul would have been an even $100,000.
The Texas Lottery does not publish point-of-purchase details for wins of less than $1 million. So, we can't tell you what part of Texas the big winner came from but we do know that anyone who played should check their tickets.
Tonight's Powerball is valued at $214 million and the Mega Millions on Tuesday will feature an estimated top prize of $306 million. Should you choose to play please remember that most lottery tickets are not winners. So, spend only what you can afford to lose. If you need help with a gambling problem call 1-800-GAMBLER.
