Texas Lottery Confirms $350,000 Powerball Wins Monday Night
The Powerball jackpot is climbing and Texas Lottery Players in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, and a myriad of much smaller Texas communities tried their luck again on Monday night to see if the game would provide a life-changing moment for them. In the history of Powerball, the game has only seen two jackpot winners from the state of Texas but Monday night was as good of a time as any to make that third one, right?
If you didn't see the Powerball drawing as it happened. Here is how it unfolded for Monday, April 29, 2024.
Last night's life-changing jackpot as announced at the time the drawing took place was $164.1 million. The numbers that were drawn were:
11 38 47 67 69 Powerball 14 Power Play x2
You'll need to verify those numbers at the Official Powerball Website or the Official Texas Lottery Website, those sites can confirm your tickets for you. And for several Texas Powerball players, their tickets will need to be confirmed, signed, and prize winnings collected.
Were There Powerball Winners in Texas?
Based on what our sources at the Texas Lottery have revealed Monday's Powerball in Texas created winners of $50,000 or more on five Texas-sold tickets. The Texas Lottery does not publish point-of-purchase or game details unless the prize is one million dollars or more.
We can tell you that all five of the winning tickets from Monday night matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball. Three of those tickets will earn a prize of $50,000. The other two ticket purchasers opted for the Power Play option. Since the multiplier for Monday's game was "times two" their prize is $100,000.
What is the Powerball Jackpot Now?
The Powerball jackpot will now grow to an estimated $178 million for Wednesday's drawing. That is the annuitized jackpot, by the way. The lump sum payout projection for Wednesday's Powerball is $81.3 million.
Tonight's Mega Millions drawing will be for a top prize of just over a quarter of a billion dollars at $257 million. That's the annuitized estimated jackpot, the estimate on the lump sum payout for Mega Millions is $115.6 million. Again, that game draws tonight just before 10 p.m.
