The Rams Trade Two First Round Picks For CB Jalen Ramsey
It's no secret that All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey wanted out of Jacksonville and on Tuesday evening he got his wish as he was traded to the Los Angeles Rams.
The Rams were busy on Tuesday as they put their top cornerback Aqib Talib on IR with injury and they traded Marcus Peters to the Baltimore Ravens for LB Kenny Young.
So, they also received draft pick compensation and save money but then turn around and flip two future first-round picks to acquire Jalen Ramsey.
That's a first-rounder in 2020 and one in 2021 plus the 4th rounder in 2021. Certainly, a hefty price to pay but Ramsey is one of, if not the best corner in the league.
You now pair him with the best defensive player in the league in Aaron Donald which could end up being scary. Los Angeles definitely needs to step up somewhere, specifically on defense with the way the offense has been underperforming.
