There is a Hidden Beach in Louisiana That Locals Love
Why lie, I am so jealous of all of my friends who are making their way to Gulf Shores and to Florida. I keep thinking of ways to get my taste of summer all while staying in Louisiana. Turns out, Louisiana has a hidden gem that many Louisianians have kept a secret for several years.
Although the boot is a Gulf Coast state, we aren't known for the beautiful white sandy beaches like Florida and Alabama, Louisiana has a beautiful beach that is a perfect long weekend destination. Take that Bama!

Holly Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in the Bayou State. Although it doesn't have a white sandy beach as you would find in Florida, the Southwest Louisianan beach showcases miles and miles of beautiful sand with some of the most unique seashells you have ever seen.

Holly Beach is also called the “Cajun Riviera,” by locals in Cameron Parish. If you don't want to book an Airbnb, no worries, you can camp out on the beach. Much like several beaches in Texas, you can even drive on the beach. This takes your idea of an epic tailgate party to a whole new level.
If you've been trying to find a place in the boot that lets you sink your toes into some sand and get some vitamin D, check out Holly Beach. Don't forget to load up on some sunscreen and a killer playlist.
