The Lafayette Parish School Board will have some major plans to discuss at their meeting Wednesday night.  The board will be tasked with discussing and possibly approval some changes to six local schools.

The Lafayette Parish School Board members will be tasked with looking over a list of construction at these schools.  They will be talking about proposals to expand, renovate and repair some schools to the tune of more than thirty million dollars.

There are six schools that could see some construction work.  They are as follows:

One of the other items the school board has on its agenda to vote on would be a recommendation that the architectural firm Pécot & Company get the contract for the work.

The money for the project to do work on all these schools is coming from two sources.  The first source would be three million dollars out of their capital projects budget and the remainder of the money, thirty-three million would come from selling up to thirty million dollars in bonds.
