Trooper Hammons Reports On Haz Mat Situation – Mickey Shunick Search

Trooper Stephen Hammons joined 'Mornings With Ken & Bernie" today and updated us on a haz-mat situation that started yesterday at an Air Liquide location near Port Allen.  A fire occurred after some acetylene tanks caught fire yesterday and the area remains cordoned off as the clean-up continues.

Regarding the search for Mickey Shunick, the 21 year old woman missing from Lafayette, Hammons said, "It doesn't matter the shape of your badge or the color of your uniform it just matters that we're all on the same page to achieve one goal."  State police have joined in the search for Shunick with Lafayette City Police, the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's office and the FBI.

Hammons reminded listeners that State Police were beginning their annual 'Click It Or Ticket" campaign and troopers would be on the watch for seat belt violators.
