The LSU System board has approved the $14 million in tuition hikes for its students. The board backed the costs Friday that were already approved by lawmakers. The hikes will go into effect for the 2011-2012 school year and range from about $50 a semester at LSU Alexandria to $144 at LSU Baton Rouge. The LSU Health Science Centers could see as much as a $387 boost.
