Two 16 Year Olds Survive Boating Accident
The Department of Wildlife and Fisheries confirms two 16 year old boys from the Crowley area survived a boating incident on the Indian Creek Reservoir in Rapides Parish this past Sunday. The boys were traveling on the north end of the reservoir when their boat struck a tree and they were both ejected. An engine cut-off lanyard was worn by the boat operator and the motor stopped after he was ejected. The boys managed to get back into the boat where they were found by a fisherman. Both boys suffered minor to moderate cuts and bruises and one was treated for a leg injury at a local hospital.
