Two and a Half Men Star Conchata Ferrell Dies at 77

Conchata Ferrell, best known for her role as Berta on the hit CBS comedy Two and a Half Men, died on Monday at the age of 77.

Ferrell died at Sherman Oaks Hospital after a lengthy stay due to complications following a cardiac arrest. She was surrounded by family at the time of her passing.

Her role as Berta on Two and a Half Men earned the actress a pair of Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series Emmy nominations in 2005 and 2007.

“She was a beautiful human,” Two and a Half Men star Jon Cryer said. “I’m crying for the woman I’ll miss, and the joy she brought so many.”

Fellow Men star Charlie Sheen added, “An absolute sweetheart, a consummate pro, a genuine friend. Berta, your housekeeping was a tad suspect, your ‘people’ keeping was perfect.”

The veteran actress also garnered an Emmy nomination in 1992 for her role as Susan Bloom on L.A. Law. She was a regular on that show during its sixth season.

Her other notable TV series include Good Times, ER, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, BJ and the Bear and Grace and Frankie.

Ferrell's extensive film credits include Heartland, Network, Mystic Pizza, True Romance, Erin Brockovich, Edward Scissorhands, Mr. Deeds and Krampus.

Conchata Ferrell leaves behind her husband of more than 30 years, Arnie Anderson along with her daughter Samantha and two stepdaughters.
