Two In Lafayette Charged With Child Cruelty

LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) — Two people have been arrested after Lafayette police discovered a 5-year-old boy's injuries had not been treated. Police say 25-year-old Cherelle Renee Smith and 26-year-old Trevor Todd Roy, both of Lafayette, both are charged with one count of second-degree cruelty to a juvenile.
