UL Softball Slips In Latest RPI Listings
The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns take a slight slip in the sixth college softball ratings percentage index (RPI) of 2019, which was released on Monday.
Louisiana, who is currently 42-4 on the season, including a 21-0 Sun Belt Conference record, is listed at number 20 this week, down one spot from a week ago.
The Cajuns, who have won 19-consecutive games, return to the diamond on Wednesday, when they travel to Ruston, La. to take on Louisiana Tech in a non-conference tilt.
Oklahoma is the top team in this week's RPI listings, followed by UCLA, Arizona, Washington, and Texas.
6-10 consists of Florida St., LSU, Alabama, Florida, and Northwestern.
Louisiana is the highest ranked Sun Belt Conference school, followed by Troy (#53), Texas St. (#63), UTA (#71), Appalachian St. (#89), Coastal Carolina (#102), South Alabama (#149), Georgia Southern (#160), Georgia St. (#199), and ULM (#223).
