UL Women’s Basketball Schedule Set For 2017-2018
The Louisiana Ragin' Cajun women's basketball team released their 2017-2018 non-conference schedule on Wednesday.
And with that, their schedule is complete.
Louisiana, who finished 20-11 last season, including a berth in the finals of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament, will play a minimum of 12 non-conference games, in addition to their 18 scheduled conference match-ups.
Following exhibitions tilts against LSU-Alexandria (Oct. 31) and Xavier (Nov. 4), the Cajuns will open their 2017-2018 regular season schedule on Friday, November 10, when they host New Orleans in the first round of the Preseason WNIT at the Cajundome.
That game against the Privateers will mark the first of three guaranteed games in the event.
Round two of the Preseason WNIT, in which Louisiana will face either Houston or Texas A&M, is slated for November 12-13, at a site to be determined, with the semifinals and finals scheduled for November 16 and November 19, respectively.
The Cajuns will travel to Las Vegas, Nevada on Thanksgiving week, to take part in the South Point Shootout, where they will take on Niagara on Saturday, November 25, before tangling with Cleveland Sate on Sunday, November 26.
November wraps up with a contest against Mississippi St., a 2016-17 NCAA Final Four participant, and national runner-up, on Wednesday, November 29.
December shows Louisiana hosting McNeese St., Auburn, and Southern-New Orleans, and visiting Southeastern Louisiana, before hosting Alcorn State in the annual Education Game, on December 20, to conclude their non-conference slate.
The Cajuns open Sun Belt Conference play with the Arkansas road trip Dec. 29-31, against Little Rock and Arkansas St.
