Louisiana Ragin' Cajun outfielder/second baseman Kelli Milligan is on pace to shatter a school record.

The senior from Vidor, Texas is off a running in a big way.

Through the first 11 games in 2019, Milligan has stolen 15 bases in 15 tries.

Considering Louisiana is now 1/5 of the way through their regular season schedule, Milligan is on track to steal a whopping 75 bases in the regular season.

Of course, postseason stats count, and if you add in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament, followed by the NCAA Regionals, you would have to add in at least another 5 games to UL's game total, putting Milligan on pace to swipe over 80 bags this season.

Granted, it's early, and Milligan likely won't steal 80 bases. That being said, her quick start, along with her outstanding ability, and Louisiana's aggressive style on the bases, does make you think that she has a realistic shot at eclipsing a school record that has stood for over 25 years.

Back in 1992, Dorsey Steamer stole 51 bases for the Cajuns, a school record that still stands today.

Again; a lot of softball is left to be played, but Milligan certainly has the skill-set to eclipse the record, having stolen 54 bases as a freshman in 2016 at Texas A&M.

Barring injury, Milligan has a pretty good chance of breaking the record, but it will be fun watching her all season, regardless.
