UpClose With Bernadette Lee Premieres Today on KPEL

This is the first day of my expanded show, UpClose, which has aired on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. since 2018.

In addition to Saturdays, my new show will air each weekday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Who am I? I'm a person who has been in the news business since the early 90's and I love radio. Today will be a different day for me as I will now be dedicated to a news and opinion show which is somewhat different from what I have been doing for years.

My usual concentration has been on news and today begins a show that will be about giving our listeners the opportunity to continue to give their opinion. In addition, I will be sharing my opinion on issues, but by all means, I know you don't need my opinion. I have always said KPEL listeners are "smarter than the average bear".

I know you form your own opinions based on all of the different sources that you consume. I am just hoping that you will take those views and bring them to the airways from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. each weekday. I am hoping to ask questions from a variety of different perspectives to offer you the most information possible as you are deciding what is best for you and your family.
