Rob Guidry, President and CEO of the Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce joined 'Mornings With Ken & Bernie' today to discuss an upcoming event.  The Chamber's annual 'Business Over Breakfast' is the Chamber's second largest fund-raiser and will be held Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at the Cajundome Convention Center with Karen Harbert as the guest speaker.

Harbert is president and chief executive officer of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's energy policy arm.  Harbert's appearance comes two years after the Obama Administration's moratorium halted deep-water drilling in the Gulf of Mexico.

Guidry said Harbert has been a strong advocate for the oil and gas industry and has helped the Lafayette Chamber in testimony to Congress on the moratorium.  According to Guidry,

"We are all better off when we have a viable oil and gas industry and fortunately we do at this time but it's a constant battle."

The Lafayette Chamber is expecting more than 600 people to attend 'Business Over Breakfast' but tickets are still available on-line at www.lafchamber.org.

In addition to Karen Harbert's keynote address the Lafayette Chamber leadership will present a mid-year progress report to the membership.
