Vitter And Landrieu Want FDA To Publicly OK Gulf Seafood

Senators David Vitter and Mary Landrieu are asking the Food and Drug Admistration to PUBLICLY declare Gulf Seafood safe to eat. The FDA has already declared it safe to eat, but the senators are asking the FDA to be a little more vocal about it. Louisiana Seafood Promotion and Marketing Board Chairman Harlon Pearce says the seafood industry continues to battle perception issues from around the nation.
Pearce says studies have shown that over 70% of Americans are still concerned about the safety of gulf seafood.
