Women In Combat? Good Or Bad Idea?

Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, in one of his last moves in that post, has decided that women should be allowed in front line combat situations.  This is a reversal of a long time policy of the military not to have women in direct combat.

In the shadow of this, Valerie Jarrett, adviser to the President, said that we need to protect women from violence.

What do you think?  Is it a good idea to have women on the front lines or is it a bad idea?
