A Tip Leads Rayne Police To Arrest A Man For Simple Burglary

The Rayne Police Department says that a call came into their department reporting a suspicious male in a neighborhood.  Chief Carroll Stelly says officers responded to the area, and they caught Nicolas Barron burglarizing a vehicle.

Chief Stelly alleges that Barron had stolen items in his possession that he says were taken from other cars in that area.

Chief Stelly says records show that Barron has been arrested in the past for Illegal Possession of Stolen Things.  He was arrested for the most recent incident on charges of simple burglary and possession of stolen goods.

Barron was booked into the Rayne City Jail before being transported to the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Department Jail.
