EUNICE, La. (KPEL) -- Two people are facing drug charges after police found a meth lab in their apartment.

Eunice Deputy Police Chief Varden Guillory said Tuesday that police received a complaint that 25-year-old Sean Babineaux was manufacturing methamphetamine in his apartment.

When police showed up, Guillory said officers could smell the chemicals and fumes from the front door. Police were allowed inside, where they located the meth lab, Guillory said.

Babineaux admitted to manufacturing the meth, and he and 19-year-old Jamie Herrman were booked into the Eunice City Jail, Guillory said.

Both Babineaux and Guillory are facing charges of operating a clandestine laboratory and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond has been set at $26,500 each.
