The Council in Youngsville gave their approval to a resolution before the council that accepts the results on the November sales tax vote.

TheYoungsville City Council  decided to pass a resolution early this week that accepts the results of the November 19 ballot issue where citizens of the community decided that they would give approvel to a one cent sales tax.   The tax money is going to be used to build and maintain a sports complex.

The Mayor of Youngsville, Wilson Viator , says the official month when the tax can start to be collected will be April 2012.   The mayor previously told KPEL, during "Lafayette Live", that they figure about a billion dollars will be collected to use for the facility.

Mayor Viator says that they will be asking for the community's help as to what the facility should include, look like, and what should be housed there.
