17 teams from the Acadiana area remain alive, as the LHSAA football playoffs begins it's second week of play.

In the non-select brackets, eight teams from the Acadiana area still have state championship aspirations, with four teams hosting playoff games this week.

In Class 5A, one team from the Acadiana area remains, as 15th-seeded Acadiana will travel to take on second-seeded Ponchatoula.

 

In Class 4A, #14 Rayne will be on the road to take on #3 Franklinton, while #15 Breaux Bridge travels to take on #2 Neville.

 

In Class 3A, second-seeded Church Point will entertain 15th-seeded North Webster, 11th-seeded Jennings hosts 27th-seeded North Vermilion, and 13th-seeded Kaplan will be on the road to square off with fourth-seeded Union Parish.

 

In Class 2A, #8 Loreauville gets another home game, playing host to #9 St. James.

 

In Class A, fifth-seeded Basile will entertain 12th-seeded LaSalle

In Division I, #3 St. Thomas More will host #6 Jesuit, while #7 Teurlings Catholic will hit the road on Saturday to take on #2 Archbishop Rummel.

 

In Division II, fourth-seeded Notre Dame will be at home to take on fifth-seeded E.D. White.

 

In Division III, #1 Catholic High-New Iberia will host #9 Northlake Christian, while #4 Opelousas Catholic hosts #5 Newman.

 

Finally, in Division IV, top-seeded Vermilion Catholic will host ninth-seeded Madison Prep, third-seeded Central Catholic-Morgan City hosts sixth-seeded Ouachita Christian, seventh-seeded St. Edmund travels to second-seeded St. Mary’s, and 13th-seeded Ascension Episcopal travels to fifth-seeded Southern Lab.
