An ugly scene unfolded at a middle school basketball game this week in Baton Rouge, and now a parent is facing legal consequences.

WBRZ obtained a video of the fight from the game between CSAL and Scotlandville Middle, and it is not pretty.

You see one parent attack a coach, then more people rush the court to help stop the fight, while some only add to the chaos. Kids are seen looking on as the fight happened, and now one parent, 41-year-old Kendall Addison, is facing legal consequences for attacking the coach.

The Baton Rouge news station reports that the parent allegedly attacked the coach after a foul was committed by one of his players.

Now, Addison will have to address a misdemeanor summons for battery on a school teacher and disturbing the peace.

Sadly, this isn't the first brawl we've seen at a kid's sporting event, and actions like this have left leagues and organizations with coaching and officiating shortages.

East Baton Rouge Parish School District Superintendent LaMont Cole tells WBRZ that all middle school activities will now have security present moving forward.

Here's footage from the middle school basketball game.
