State Representative Rickey Hardy

joined "Mornings With Ken & Bernie" to be the guest for "Acadiana Live".  Hardy is part of the Acadiana delegation at the State Legislature. 

Two of the really debated issues this session have been HB 1, which is the budget bill, and the proposed merger of UNO with SUNO, which did not happen.  Representative Hardy tells KPEL he has never supported Governor Bobby Jindal's idea of selling three state prison to raise money to fill Louisiana's budget shortfall.  Hardy says he has always maintained that budget savings could come from the attrition and retirement. 

In reference to the UNO and SUNO merger, Representative Hardy says he does not agree with failure, and he believes the two schools should have been merged quite a long time ago.
