Accused Abbeville Drug Dealer Arrested After Chase

A car chase ends in the capture of an accused drug dealer. Vermilion Parish Authorities say they had been getting leads throughout the week that Alton Rice of Abbeville was allegedly selling crack cocaine. Yesterday morning, agents say they tried to pull Rice over, but he tried to get away. The Abbeville Police Department then joined the agents in the pursuit, which they say eventually ended with Rice crashing his vehicle into a culvert. Officers say when they caught up to him, they found the drugs on him. He's now in jail on a $40,000 bond.
