An Ark-La-Tex High School Principal Arrested For Sex Crimes
Police took 54-year-old Bran Biggs into custody this morning, and have charged him with nearly 50 counts related to Criminal Sexual Conduct. Biggs is the Principal of Summerfield High School in Claiborne Parish.
Louisiana State Police say that Biggs is facing 46 counts of Indecent Behavior With Juveniles, one count of Computer Aided Solicitation of a Minor, one count Prohibited Sexual Conduct Between an Educator & Student, and one count of Production of Pornography Involving Juveniles.
Authorities were contacted by parents when they say Biggs acted inappropriately with their children online. Through their investigation, State Police say they found Biggs using social media to engage in sexually explicit messaging with children, sending sexually explicit material, and requesting sexually inappropriate images from children.
Police arrested Biggs at his home, and made contact with the Claiborne Parish School District, who started their own investigation into Biggs' school devices.
Biggs was taken to the Claiborne Parish Detention Center, and had a $1 million bond issued.
