Game five of the World Series...Clayton Kershaw vs. Dallas Keuchel.  A pitchers' duel in the making.  After all, the matchup in game one was a classic that lasted less than two and a half hours.

Except it wasn't a pitchers' duel.  Not by a long shot.

A World Series that has had plenty of the unexpected wrote another chapter Sunday night as Houston came back from a four run deficit, a three run deficit and a one run deficit to beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 13-12 in ten innings at Minute Maid Park.

Alex Bregman's one out single off Kenley Jansen in the bottom of the tenth scored pinch runner Derek Fisher with the game winner.  Fisher was running for Brian McCann, who was hit by a pitch.

Houston had a 12-9 lead heading into the ninth.  But reliever Chris Devensky allowed a leadoff walk and Yasiel Puig hit a one out homer to left to cut the lead to one.  Austin Barnes doubled and Chris Taylor hit a two out single up the middle to tie it.

Carlos Correa and Yuli Gurriel combined for three home runs and ten RBI as the Astrosl came back from deficits of 4-0, 7-4 and 8-7 to take a three games to two lead in the fall classic.

Keuchel gave up a leadoff hit and a pair of walks in the first inning.  Logan Forsythe singled home  pair of runs and the third scored on an error to stake the Dodgers to a 3-0 lead.  Forsythe doubled and scored on an Austin Barnes single in the fourth and the Dodgers had a 4-0 lead...and Keuchel was done.

Los Angeles had not lost a game this season when having a four run lead.  And, Clayton Kershaw was on the mound.

But in the bottom of the inning, George Springer walked and with one out, Altuve singled him to second.  Correa doubled to score Springer and Gurriel homered to left to tie the game at four.

The Dodgers roared right back in the fifth.  After back to back walks, rookie Cody Bellinger, who hit 39 homers in the regular season, belted a three run show and the Dodgers were right back in front, 7-4.

But Kershaw couldn't hold the lead.

A pair of walks with two out ended Kershaw's night and Altuve greeted reliever Kenta Maeda with a three run blast on a full count that tied the game at seven.

Bellinger's triple off Brad Peacock put the Dodgers back in front in the seventh inning, but once again the Astros came right back.  Brandon Morrow, pitching for the fifth time in the series, was greeted by George Springer's monster home run to tie the game.  Alex Bregman singled, Altuve doubled him home to put Houston back in front and Correa made it a three run lead with a homer to left.

The Dodgers cut the lead to 11-9 in the eighth on Corey Seager's RBI double, but Brian McCann hit the Astros' fifth homer or the night to restore the three run lead.

The series now shifts back to Los Angeles for game six.  The Astros will have Justin Verlander on the mound.  So it's over, right?

Right?
