Basile Man Arrested in Acadia Parish Double Homicide

21-year-old Detrick Guillory of Basile has been arrested in the deaths of John Guillory and Lois Guillory.

Acadia Parish Sheriff K.P. Gibson says Detrick is the grandson of John and the godchild of Lois.

Guillory has been charged with 2 counts of First Degree Murder. No bond has been set. Guillory is being held at the Acadia Parish Jail.

John B. Guillory and Lois M. Guillory - both 71-years-old - are now dead after a stabbing in the 500 block of Noah Daigle Road in the Richard community west of Church Point. Acadia Parish Sheriff K.P. Gibson says deputies found the two victims (related but not married) dead Monday night.

"It appears that robbery may have been a motive, but has not been confirmed," says Chief Gibson.
