Bayou Vista Man Arrested For Sexual Battery

A Bayou Vista man was arrested by St. Mary Parish Sheriff's officials after an investigation into indecent behavior began yesterday.

Officials say 33-year-old Christopher Hatcher was arrested for sexual batter after accusations were made that Hatcher has inappropriately touched a juvenile female.

The detective working the case reports that evidence was collected to alleged that Hatcher had touched the girl when she and he were at a home in Bayou Vista.

Hatcher went to the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office in Morgan City as part of the ongoing investigation, and he was arrested shortly before 3:40 this morning.
