Bee Experience and Honey Tasting—You’ll Love It!

Bees are amazing insects. Almost 90% of plants and nearly 80% of our crops depend on insect and animal pollination. Bees play a vital role in the survival of humans. According to wwf.org, one out of every three mouthfuls of our food depends on pollinators such as bees.

Baton Rouge Capital Area Beekeeper of the Year and award-winning honey producer,  Animal Experience Hosted by Kevin, is ready to show you and your family a bee insect hands-on experience that's second to none. Kevin serves on the Capital Area Beekeepers Association board as the Community Outreach Director.

He'll teach you how bee hives are inspected, show you how to extract pure natural honey from the comb and of course you'll get to taste the most incredible food on earth, honey.

In this amazing bee experience, you'll suit up and even get to "smoke out" the bees. The hives are located in three bee rescue apiaries in the Baton Rouge area. The three locations include Health Food Store Community Garden, Meditation Temple Garden and Rural Life Field. You get to choose which apiaries you'd like to experience.

Snacks are provided. Cheese and crackers and of course...honey.

Pick-up and drop-off transportation are available.

All proceeds are donated to bee rescue and relocations. The $50 cost of a ticket also helps to educate humans about the importance of bees to our planet.
